Donjon & Donjon
Board game
Dungeon & Dungeon is a board game made as part of the Fundamentals of Game Design courses given at Gamagora.
After a selection phase of the concepts proposed by the students, some were retained, including my proposal.
With two other comrades, we have therefore refined, tested and concretized this concept in a board game.
My role within this team was the initial conception and the continuous improvement of the Game Design, the realization of mockup and paper prototype, the realization of playtest and the balancing of the game consequently, the realization of a flowchart of rules and their wording.
Exercice brief
Design a board game, and make a playable prototype.
The prototype must contain the rules and all the material to play
The game should be if possible: original (no copy of existing), simple (not long or difficult to learn), fast (not long to play) and fun (not boring)
The game will have to mix luck and skill
The game will preferably be aimed at a family audience
The theme of the game is free but it must make sense with the mechanics
The game must last between 30 and 45 minutes
